Attention, Oh Ho Ho!!! Everyone’s beloved childhood character Santa Claus needs a new home in the Arctic Circle. The times have changed and it is time for Santa to shift from the conventional house to an edgy modern home.
Volume Zero Competition brought an exciting opportunity to imagine Santa’s dream home. Architects, designers, and creatives were asked to design a home that would fit the beloved Santa’s needs. Key features of this home were to include large spaces for managing toys and hosting a large number of guests that visit him every year.
The design of this home had to be innovative, creative and technologically advanced. The site located on the Arctic Circle is one of the coldest regions on Earth and thus comes with its own set of challenges.
The architecture contest received an array of varied designs that were whimsical, creative and fun. An expert panel of jurors picked the ones that fit the context well, met multifunctional needs and made a statement for Santa as the top and winning entries.
Volume Zero thanks all the participating members and teams for their entries in the House of Santa Architecture Competition!
